Our Reunion vs Alumni Association Reunion

The Alumni Association is hosting a reunion for our class on June 6, 2026 to coincide with  their ALL-YEARS Alumni Day on the first Sunday in June 2026.  

We informed our fellow classmates of this early in the process and offered an alternate  reunion experience resembling the one we held for our 40th reunion. Results from the survey  we asked our classmates to complete yielded the following results:  

• We received 107 responses. 

• An overwhelming majority opted for a weekend event like our 40th (86%). • Two dates were neck in neck October 9 (45.6%), May 1 (43.3%). 

Given this information we embarked on trying to replicate the same experience we enjoyed  at our 40th.  

If you prefer an event in the city, we suggest you attend the event planned by the Alumni  Association. However, we would love to see you at our event.

Do we have a refund policy?

Although, we understand that paying this far in advance is a risk, at this point we are locked  in by the minimums under the contract we signed. Our advice to classmates is that they  consider travel insurance. I’m sorry if that’s not the most desirable solution but in the  experience of some of us, private travel insurance carries a reasonable premium. I’m hopeful  that it will provide financial risk reduction for those of us in a similar situation.

Transportation

Westchester County Airport is about 15 minutes away. Metro North stations are also nearby.  Uber and Lyft rides are available to get to the event and to get around. 

Has the committee given any thought to inviting any of our teachers from Bx Science  who are still around?

Yes, but we do not have the resources to comp them. Alumni who would like to invite  teachers would need to pay for their registration.
